About Us
Climate litigation is reshaping how governments, companies, and communities respond to the climate crisis. Yet finding clear, accessible, and up-to-date information about these cases is often difficult, especially when it comes to proceedings in the Global South that rarely make international headlines.

This platform was created to close that gap. Our goal is to make climate litigation easier to follow, easier to understand, and easier to use for research, advocacy, and decision-making.
Our Founder
This project was founded by Loes van Dijk, whose background is in corporate law. Early in her career, Loes moved into corporate social responsibility, driven by an interest in how legal professionals can influence companies to adopt more responsible practices. She remains convinced that this inside-out approach to changing business behaviour is one of the most effective ways to create impact.

At the same time, she became increasingly drawn to climate litigation, an area where law, science, psychology, and human rights come together in a single case. The power of litigation to hold actors accountable from the outside in fascinated her.

Over time, Loes saw how difficult it was to access reliable and easy-to-read information on climate cases, particularly those outside the Global North. With this project, she set out to build a resource that bridges that gap: a place where complex legal developments are made clear, accessible, and globally inclusive.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make climate litigation transparent, accessible, and globally inclusive. By providing clear updates and an easy-to-use database, we aim to empower researchers, advocates, and decision-makers with the knowledge they need to drive climate accountability and change.
